- The base and lid need to be sanded and roughed up with 550 grit sand paper if the paint is faded. If the paint is chipping and flaking you need to use sand paper grit that is more coarse than 550 and that will remove the flaking paint. Keep in mind you do not want to use paper course enough to scare and scrape the metal.
- After the base and lid have been prep sanded use red Krylon Spray paint to coat the machine with new paint. After the base and lid of the vending machine has been painted and dried focus on the globe that holds your product. Pledge is the best way to make the horribly scratched and dull looking plastic globes to look flawless and brand new again.
Follow these tips and your machines will not only look better and more professional they will attract more kids and customers and therefore make you more money. This applies to vending machines your already have out on location. Once you get the hang of it you can clean and refurbish vending machines in a matter of minutes and while out on locations collecting money and refilling your product.
