What to do if your vending equipment is stolen?

So it has been about 8 days since my S and B ball crane was stolen from a Mexican market that ran a church in the upstairs level. I seriously could not be more pissed and to think out of all the locations that we have it is the one with the church that is trying to get away with stealing our equipment.

This is a follow up post so I am not going into all of the details. Feel free to read the original post here. Moving forward I still do not have the crane machine. The Sheriff’s department has deemed the crane machine theft as a civil matter because there was a business agreement involved.

I figured that it was civil matter however the wheel chair bound location owner is who really upsets me. He claims that business was no good and that I only paid him $30 or $40 dollars per week. He then tried to tell me oh the machine was left here abandoned.

My reply was, “ok, if you were not happy making $120 – $160 per month then why didn’t you ask me to remove the equipment? I would have gladly picked it up. Instead you fabricate the fact that I was never here and abandoned the equipment.”

If there was anything to be funny in this whole ordeal was that the wheel chair guy gave away our equipment on Wednesday February 15 2012 and I showed up with my worker on Friday February 17 2012. That was a little funny I would have to admit. I was also coming to pull my equipment out because it wasn’t making much money at that location.

See when they stole my equipment they setup a crane machine right in its and place $5, $10’s and $20’s around the stuffed animals. That is a violation of the California Gaming Commission and after our conversation with them they are very interested in learning about the other locations this guy has setup like that. There are many locations setup like that.

I am going to walk in that place and take pictures and then show him the penal code violations provided from the California Gaming Commission and I am going to say look pal, this is evidence that I am going to be handing over to the Gaming Commission. You want this to go away I want my machine here tomorrow.

If he doesn’t comply I will sue him for the cost of the crane, product in the crane and money in the crane along with the cost of the kiddie ride then I am going to file the report with his locations in violation to the California Gaming Commission either way.
